2025 Honorary Captain Info
2025 Honorary Captain Info / Invitation
Presented by Lexus and Wolberg Electric, The Capital Cup for Kids returns to the ice April 21-30, at the Albany County Hockey Facility in Albany, NY. This marks the 16th edition of the premier adult hockey fundraising event in Upstate, NY. The Capital Cup for Kids was founded to connect our adult hockey community to children and families in need. This year, the event will benefit Building on Love, Capital Cup for Kids, Make A Wish of Northeast NY, and other local organizations. 400+ players make up 24 teams, competing in six divisions, and they will all be vying for their names on the Capital Cup as well as for the bragging rights as the tourney’s largest fundraiser.
We would be honored to have your child as an Honorary Captain and look forward to celebrating their strength and story with our incredible hockey community. Please let us know which option works best for your family, and feel free to reach out with any questions.
Two ways to help in 2025!
Option 1: Share Your Story
- Provide a short bio and a photo of your child, which we will share with your assigned team.
- Your story will be featured on their team’s fundraising page, in the event program, helping players and attendees understand the impact of their fundraising.
- Your child will receive Capital Cup for Kids merchandise.
- Your family is invited to attend one of (or both!) of our Family Days and enjoy all of the fun we have planned.
Option 2: Be an Ambassador Family
- Your child will be featured as described in Option 1.
- In addition, your family will have the opportunity to attend one of our two family days at the event to meet your assigned team and share your story in person. These visits are why this tournament is so successful – they have a huge impact on the participants.
- We will provide Capital Cup for Kids merchandise for all attending family members.
- Your assigned team will shop for special gifts to make the experience even more memorable for your child and family.
- We recognize that extra trips can pose financial burden, so we will assist families with essential support like gas and food gift cards provided by our teams.
To sign up your child, please click on the “contract” link below to access a PDF of the form to complete and return it to Jeff Yule at [email protected] or text and image of the form to (518) 364-5461. We’d love to capture the excitement—please take a photo of your child signing the contract and send it to us! We’d love to share these moments with our teams and across our social media platforms leading up to the event.
Looking forward to hearing from you soon!
